Busy Few Days!

There’s been lots hapening this week and it’s all been great fun and in support of some really good causes.

On Wednesday I was with wounded, injured and sick service personnel from Battle Back again, working with a couple of groups and introducing them to Sitting Volleyball. After a game of ‘sitting tag’ to get warmed up, we had a few challenges to work on skills before moving into some competitive games! Both groups needed deciding 3rd sets in the matches, both of which were played using a ball from last years Paralympic Games and the quality didn’t let the ball down!

After the session it was straight down to London to set up ready for the Action For Kids Beach Volleyball event at Canary Wharf. Since then I have been delivering Sitting Volleyball to school groups and young people from the charity as well as giving passers by the opportunity to join in and play.

Over the weekend, Side-Out have been delivering a Beach Volleyball competition with top players from around the country coming to play at the iconic venue. The event has been fantastic, attracting some big crowds with people watching and getting involved in Sitting Volleyball. We have also had the Volleyball England Speed Cage at the event so have been raising lots of money for the charity and recording some huge scores including Gomez who scored 61.9mph!

We’re down here for the rest of the week so why not come along, play some sitting volleyball, try some beach volleyball and test your speed on the speed cage, all of which are raising money for a great cause – Action for Kids!
