It was the first day back at school for the teachers of Gearies Primary school in Ilford when I arrived to deliver the Volleyball England Sitting Volleyball Workshop last Monday.

After introducing the game in a classroom we discussed how it could be used in the school, some of the rules of the game and some of the basic techniques.

After lunch we headed to the school hall and explored a variety of games including activities for warm ups, skill development and games.

The group were extremely enthusiastic and engaged well in every activity, giving us plenty of opportunity to share ideas about how activities could be adapted and used within their PE lessons.
